Kids Jiu Jitsu
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) isn't just for adults—it’s amazing for kids too! This awesome martial art is all about ground grappling and taps into natural human instincts. When it comes to self-defense, BJJ teaches kids how to stand up to bigger opponents with confidence. But that’s just the beginning! BJJ helps kids build self-esteem, stay disciplined, channel their energy, and learn respect—all while being part of a super supportive community filled with future friends and mentors. We offer both Gi and No-Gi classes for ages 6-15. Let’s get rolling!
Teaches Hard Work
Don’t get us wrong, BJJ is a blast…but it’s also hard work! We want our students to understand from a young age what it means to keep pushing, even when they’re tired or struggling with a new technique. There’s no better feeling than setting a goal and finally crushing it! Whether it’s earning that next belt or stripe, or mastering an awesome new move, our team is here to help you reach your goals and celebrate every victory along the way!
Boosts Confidence
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Set Goals
Setting goals isn’t just for adults—it’s super important for kids too! Sure, they might want to spend all day on Roblox or Minecraft, but that won't help them chase their bigger dreams. Finding something that motivates them is key to their success. That’s where Jiu-Jitsu comes in! It gets kids moving, lifts their spirits, and gives them a real sense of achievement. Plus, the skills they learn on the mat boost their performance in all areas of life. Whether it’s doing better in school, showing more respect at home, or setting personal goals, Jiu-Jitsu helps kids thrive!
Teaches Self-Defense
As a parent, keeping your child safe is your number one priority. While we hope our kids never need to use these skills in everyday life, every good parent still wants their children to be prepared. That’s why our martial arts training focuses on equipping your kids with the self-defense techniques they need for any situation—from dealing with a neighborhood bully to facing a stranger on the street. But self-defense is just part of the story. In our classes, your child will also learn respect and self-discipline, understanding how to diffuse situations without violence whenever possible—and knowing when using force is necessary to stay safe.
Building A Community
At Studio X from the moment your child steps into our school, they’ll be welcomed into a supportive, inclusive community of instructors and fellow students who are all rooting for their success. You might be surprised to see just how strong the friendships in our BJJ classes are, especially since students regularly spar with each other! Jiu-Jitsu teaches kids both the excitement of winning and the humility of losing, and we make sure that respect for one another is a core part of every student’s journey—through all the ups and downs of training.
